The daughter of Janet Leigh (Psycho, 1960) and Tony Curtis (The Manitou, 1978), Jamie-Lee Curtis is more of a Hollywood thoroughbred than any actor in this feature. Her big break came when she landed the role of Laurie Strode in John Carpenter's classic Halloween (1978), a movie in which she did a lot of screaming. Curtis then went on to star in a couple more good horror films - with John Carpenter again in The Fog (1980), and in the under-rated, pick-up-where-it-left-off sequel Halloween II (1981). |
